Easter Bunny Treat Bags

Today I have a really cute and easy Easter craft for you. We are having some friends over on Easter Sunday, so I wanted to make some little treats for everyone. These could also double up as table decorations, or would also work great as prizes in an Easter egg hunt.

Here’s what you’ll need:

  • Paper sandwich bags
  • Pencil
  • Scissors
  • Permanent marker
  • Coloured string or ribbon

Step 1:ย Mark out the bunny ears on one side of the paper bag, as above. Many paper sandwich bags have uneven and/or jagged edges along the top, so make sure to start your ears below that.

Step 2: Cut along the lines you have marked out. The easiest way to make sure the two ears are even, is to actually fold the paper bag in half lengthways and cut through both halves at the same time. In the photo above you can also see more clearly how I have marked out the ears below the jagged edge of the paper bag.

Your paper bag should now look like this!

Step 3: Draw some cute bunny faces on to the bags with the permanent marker! Pay attention to how the bottom of the bags are folded over – you want to draw the faces on to the front side of the bags.

Back side (wrong side!)

Front side (right side)

Step 4: Fill the bags with treats and tie them at the top, just below the ears. You might need to jiggle the ears around a little until they sit right.

Aren’t these just the cutest little bags ever! I can’t decide who’s cuter.
