About Me

Hey! I’m Jenni

I’m a writer and content creator based in Edinburgh. This is my little corner of the web, where I share family-friendly recipes, craft ideas, travel tips and reviews of our favourite books and games.

I’m originally from Germany, but now call Scotland home. I live in Edinburgh with my husband and two sons. Alongside blogging, I write children’s stories inspired by family life, my love of nature, and the small moments that spark big imaginations. I’m currently shortlisted for The Kelpies Prize for Writing, and I’m grateful to be recognised alongside such talented writers.

I love to receive feedback and comments, and I try to respond to all of them. Although the blog is in English, you’re very welcome to comment in German too. You can also find me on InstagramFacebookBluesky and Substack.

Work with me

Got a great partnership idea? Let’s talk.

I collaborate with brands, publishers, authors, and organisations that share my values of inspiring, nurturing, and engaging children through creativity, storytelling, and thoughtful play.

With a background in digital communications and content creation, I bring a careful, audience-focused approach to everything I produce. I’m especially interested in projects around:

  • Children’s books and storytelling
  • Creative play, crafts, and making
  • Family travel and life in Edinburgh

I’m selective about product reviews. My children are older now and less interested in toys, so I mainly focus on books and board games. I prioritise sustainability and prefer evergreen content that doesn’t date quickly, and I only recommend products I’ve tested myself.

For books, I prefer to work with trusted publicists and publishers I’ve collaborated with previously, though I’m open to new partnerships that align with my values. I don’t accept PDFs for review.

If you’d like to collaborate, please get in touch via my contact page. I’m happy to provide examples of previous work or a media kit on request.

Please note:  I don’t accept unsolicited requests for guest posts, paid links, or similar.
