{Edinburgh} Barony Community Garden
I love discovering hidden gems in the city, and the Barony Community Garden is definitely one of them. Tucked away in a back courtyard, less than ten minutes walk from the St James Quarter shopping centre, it’s a true little oasis in the busy city centre.
The majority of the courtyard is taken up by the playground, which held both of my children’s attention for quite a while, but there’s also a picnic table, wooden animal sculptures and, as you would expect in a garden, plenty of plant features.
If you find yourself at the East End of Edinburgh’s city centre, and want to get away from all the shopping crowds, then the short walk to Barony Community Garden is definitely worth it.
