#KidsBooksBingo 2020: Favourite Rhyming Books
This summer, I am hosting a reading challenge together with my lovely friend Amanda who runs the online childrenโs book storeย Books & Pieces. For the second year in a row, we are running a #KidsBooksBingo! Check out my previous post if you missed theย introductionย about the #KidsBooksBingo. You can also download a copy of the bingo grid, and if you are on Twitter or Instagram, you can join in by sharing pictures of what you are reading with the hashtag #KidsBooksBingo.

Each Friday throughout July and August, Iโll be highlighting a different bingo category here on the blog. Youโll get a chance to take a peek inside some of our favourite books, and perhaps discover some new favourites of your own to read over the summer. This week, Iโm sharing some of our favourite rhyming books, suitable for ages 18 months to 8+
If you want to look up any of the books from the video, here are the details:
- Pants, by Giles Andreae & Nick Sharratt
- Fox in Socks, by Dr Seuss
- Oi Frog!/ Oi Dog!/ Oi Cat!/ Oi Duck-billed Platypus! by Kes Grey & Jim Field
What are your favourite rhyming books for kids? Let us know in the comments below.ย
All Summer Camp activities are free to make them accessible to as many people as possible. However, if you enjoy the activities and are able to, you can support me with a donation on Ko-fi. Just hit the button below. Every little helps and is much appreciated. Thank you.ย

I remember reading Pants! with my eldest son. I’m going to have to go and raid the bookshelf so I can read it with his brother who I know would love it!
I love the idea of this reading challenge! We own a lot of rhyming books – I think the kids love Kitchen Disco most!
Erin has Oi Frog and loves it. Can’t go wrong with a good rhyming book.
My favourite used to be Revolting Rhymes by Roald Dahl. I still have my original one from when I was at school.
My boys love the Oi! books. We havenโt read any of the others yet though xx
Ohh this kids book bingo is so fun, my kids love anything Eoald Dahl
