{Edinburgh} Ginger & Pickles Children’s Bookshop
Earlier this week, we visited not one but two bookshops! Directly opposite the already familiar to us Golden Hare Books in Stockbridge is the Ginger & Pickles Children’s Bookshop. A bookshop dedicated entirely to children’s books? It would be rude not to visit!
Ginger & Pickles describes itself as “cosy & quaint” and that’s exactly what you’ll get. Which is great, as that’s just how I like my bookshops. You can tell they are passionate about children’s literature from their carefully curated displays of beautiful books.
There’s a comfy sofa to cuddle up with your little ones too, whilst you peruse books and decide which ones to buy. Because believe me, you will not be leaving empty handed!
You will find books ranging from bath and board books for babies, through the picture book corner for early readers and first chapter books for young readers, all the way through to books for teens and young adults. They also carry or can order course texts and study guides to young adult, as well as offering a selection of books aimed at parents.
You can find up to date opening times on the Ginger & Pickles website, or sign up to their newsletter or follow them on Instagram for all their latest news!
