{Edinburgh} Golden Hare Books
As you may know if you’ve been following this blog for a while, we are a family of bookworms. And as such, we love visiting bookshops. Edinburgh has a great many bookshops to choose from, including ones selling children’s books. One of our favourites is Golden Hare Books in Stockbridge, which lures you in with its stunning shop front, and it’s just as lovely inside as it is on the outside.
It’s been a while since I wrote about Golden Hare Books, and on a recent visit we noticed their children’s section had had a bit of a makeover since we were last there, so I thought it was time for an update.
Golden Hare Books have a whole back room dedicated to children’s books, with cosy cushions and reading nooks. It’s an absolute dream for little bookworms. I really love the colourful vibe of the new children’s room decor.
They also have a knack for highlighting stunningly illustrated picture books that you never knew you needed, always leaving me the poorer whenever we visit.
The rest of the bookshop is really lovely too, with a cosy fireplace taking centre stage and chairs to sit and rest while you ponder which books to buy – so many choices!
Golden Hare Books also run an events programme, and offer a membership scheme as well as a monthly reading subscription. And since 2020 they have an online bookstore too. You can find our more details on the Golden Hare Books website.
