Colinton Mains Park Playground

{Edinburgh} Colinton Mains Park Playground

Just  quick post today to add a review on a playground we recently visited. Colinton Mains Park is one of Edinburgh’s busiest parks for sports usage, it offers three full-size and three sevens football pitches. There’s also a small playground in the north-east corner of the park, which includes swings, nets, wobble board, play units with climbing features and a slide. In the south-west corner of the park, there’s also an area specifically for teenagers, with a sheltered seating area, and a small surfaced area that has a football goal and basketball hoop.

Our rating for this playground was neutral. It seemed well maintained, but was quite small so not worth travelling to just to visit the playground. We had visited as an extension to a trip to the nearby Braidburn Valley Park, which doesn’t have a playground itself, and with only an extra ten minutes walk this playground was a great and convenient add on.
