It’s that time of year again, when all Scottish expats feel a little wistful for home. Or a little more wistful than other times. Burns Night! Time to get the haggis, neeps and tatties on the hob.
If you’re not up for cooking a whole Burn’s Supper, you could always go the haggis pizza route. Our Italian friends think this is an abomination. We chose to ignore them, because it’s really tasty!
For dessert, I recommend a bowl of fluffy Cranachan: a heavenly combination of whipped cream, oats, whisky, honey and (Scottish) raspberries. for an alcohol-free version, just substitute the whisky for some vanilla essence.
An no celebration would be complete without some music. Just pop on this playlist for a taster of some of the best traditional Scottish music.
Happy Burn’s Night, everyone!
